North Cyprus Buyers ‘could face legal action’

Agents who have sold property in northern Cyprus could face legal action following a landmark ruling in the UK Court of Appeal. The final decision in the case has been widely anticipated and it's unlikely to surprise many in the overseas property world that British couple David and Linda Orams must now demolish their holiday home and vacate the land they bought in the Turkish-controlled area of Cyprus.
But the judgement is also expected to open up hundreds of similar claims against foreign buyers and potentially against agents and developers who sold land claimed by Greek-Cypriots since before the 1974 Turkish invasion of the north.
